After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt: A specific situation that felt ridiculously foolish was when I almost got kidnapped. I had came home off the school bus and I walked over to my door, it was locked. I had knocked on the door for about 5 minutes and nobody answered. My bus had already passed so I hitchhiked on to a stranger's car to get a ride to my school. Looking back on it I could've easily have been kidnapped that day.

Summary: Today, we worked on analyzing a poem, then we did a blog.

Reflection: I learned more about analyzing poems.

Words shape how we think, write, and interpret literature. Think about a time when learning a new word or understanding a specific term helped you better analyze a text, express an idea, or make your writing stronger.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time

Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.
