In “I, Too,” the speaker expresses pride in his identity and his rightful place in America. Reflect on your own life: What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

Prompt: A part of my cultural identity that I am most proud of is where I was born. I was born in New Orleans and I'm proud of this because to me New Orlean's culture is so beautiful. Things like the cuisine or how they celebrate events like Mardi Gras is so special to me. When I am a adult I want to move there, so I can experience more of the culture directly.

Summary: We read a poem then we started a mini project based on the poem.

Reflection: I learned about why it's important to be proud of who you are.
