As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your favorite word and how often do you use it?

 Prompt: My favorite word right now is deign. It's my favorite word because I like to make people deign themselves to me when i play Clash Royale. I use it basically every day when i'm playing Clash with my friends. I always say "Deign yourself to me you peasant". 

Summary: We work on our Birches project, then did our blog post.

Reflection: I learned how to connect a theme of a poem to my own experiences.

 Prompt: Something meaningful that I experienced over the break was being able to spend time with my family. I felt most thankful for the time I spent with them. The reason I felt really thankful for the time was because with my usual schedule with Basketball and School. I don't usually have time to spend with them after a school day. I was really happy we all got to spend time together over the break. Summary: I wasn't here. Reflection: I learned 15 new words.

 Prompt: Chris's desire for his independence contributed to his death because when he got sick from the mold on the fruit, there was no one to help him because he was all alone. This reminds of a time when I wanted to plan my birthday party when I was younger. Things went well but I did face challenges that made me realize that I should've worked with my mom more. Summary: We finished the Into the Wild movie. Reflection: I learned about how Chris's journey ended.
