Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt: A time I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I had to present in front of the class room in 8th grade. I was doing a book presentation in front of my class over the book Animal Farm. I didn't really prepare before doing it so i was kind of nervous. Nonetheless, I still went up and it went miserably. I still didn't regret it going up after.

Summary: Today, we read a story then wrote an argumentative paragraph on it.

Reflection: I learned how to pick evidence that actually supports my claim.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time

Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.
