In Into the Wild, Christopher McCandless gives up many of his possessions in pursuit of freedom and meaningful experiences. If you had to simplify your life and keep only a few important possessions, what would you keep and why? What would be hardest to leave behind?

Prompt: If I could only keep a few possessions I would keep my lotion, wallet, and deodorant. I would keep my lotion and deodorant so I could spell good and stay moisturized. I would keep my wallet so when I make money I'd have somewhere to put it and I would have identification. The hardest thing to let go of would by my phone because its how I keep communication with all my friends and family members.

Summary: We read chapters 3 and 4, then answered questions about it on Writable.

Reflection: I learned more aboud Mccandless's journey.

Words shape how we think, write, and interpret literature. Think about a time when learning a new word or understanding a specific term helped you better analyze a text, express an idea, or make your writing stronger.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time

McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival.
